The Pathway to Success: Goal Setting Tips for 2011


1. Establish your Why. Envision your Dream:

· Write down your Dreams. Put a date on them. Be specific.

· Visualize your Dreams. Create a “Dream Board”. A Dream Board is a collection of pictures, words, and inspiring images that you can create and place somewhere you will see it daily to help keep you focused on your goals.

· Share your Why and Dreams with your spouse, family and Team leaders.

2. Set specific, measurable goals. In order for a goal to be attained, it must be:

· Written down
· Specific
· Measurable
· Realistic yet challenging
· Date oriented

3. Be committed to achieving your goals. Simply writing down goals does not guarantee your success.

· Invest some time, energy and financial resources
· Become a student of Relationship Marketing (Read & Listen to proved Leaders)
· Think long-term in building your business (Not get rich quick)
· Develop an Action Plan and Set your Plan in Action
· Help others to get started and become Successful

4. Build a List of Prospects. Build Relationships that turn into Friendships that last a Lifetime.

· Write down names, phone numbers and emails of everyone
· Use a Memory Jogger list of people you know
· Use numerous resources (lead generators, web tools)
· Learn to engage strangers in conversations about “them”
· Do not pre-judge, but do pre-qualify and choose wisely

5. Contact, Invite and Share. It’s not Selling…It’s Telling.

· Ask questions…be interested…not interesting
· Lead with your ears and listen more than talk
· Find common ground to solidify a friendship
· Don’t be afraid to tell the person about your business
· Invite the person to a home meeting or to view a webinar

6. Take advantage of Tools and Events. You are a Messenger, not a Salesman.

· Set up a three-way conference calls with your upteam leader
· Host a one-on-one presentation
· Invite someone to a Discover DuVita webinar, home meeting , opportunity meeting, or regional DuVita corporate event

7. Follow-up and Follow Through. Follow-up is crucial to getting people engaged in your business.

· Book and keep your follow-up appointments
· Seeing the opportunity multiple times assures that folks are interested and serious about getting started
· Follow-up should be personal and informal
· Allows for questions and helping them define their Dreams
· Shows the prospect that you keep your word and you care
· Allows you to determine the persons Timing

8. Get Started. Once a prospect has been exposed to the program, one of three decisions will be made:

· I’d like to Get Started now
· I want more Information
· I am interested in the use of the Product

9. Counsel your Upteam. Counseling with your sponsor and/or active Upteam leader is an important key to your success.

· Counsel with the wise, and become wise
· You are part of a Team that will help you as much as you will allow
· Review your business plan and evaluate your progress

10. Duplicate Yourself. Your success will ultimately be determined by your ability to Duplicate yourself.

· Others will duplicate your habits and commitments: good habits and not so good habits
· Be what you want others to be in this network
· Build your organization as the model, then go duplicate that model as something all will want to follow
· You should do exactly what you wish others to do
