DuVita's Derby Week Recap

DuVita had the honor of being connected to the 2010 Kentucky Derby in several ways. Here's a recap of the exciting moments that took place the week leading up to the Kentucky Derby:
  • DuVita made a public donation to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF) in the Jockey Room at Churchill Downs. The charity was established to bring financial assistance to jockeys who have been injured and permanently disabled while racing.

  • Several world-famous jockeys sampled DuVita's products, Balance+ and Appetite+ in the Jockey Room at Churchill Downs.

  • Kentucky Derby Jockey, Willie Martinez, ran practice laps riding racehorse Noble's Promise, proudly wearing a DuVita logo jacket. Willie is one of our newest DuVita Associates. Willie was recruited by his sister and fellow DuVita Associate, Jacqueline Ayson of Louisville, KY. Willie uses Appetite+ to help maintain his weight. See the pics
  • DuVita had the honor of donating products and DuVita logo merchandise for a silent auction basket that was on display during the Julep Ball at the Galt House Grand Ballroom on April 30, 2010. The proceeds from this silent auction benefit the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. Check out the list of celebrities that got DuVita products in their Julep Ball gift bag.

  • And just for fun, DuVita created its own version of the famous Derby Drink, Mint Julep! Try the recipe HERE.

Special thanks to DuVita Associates, Jacqueline Ayson, Willie Martinez, Karen Hall, Debbie McAdams White, and everyone who helped cheer on Willie and Noble's Promise! We are so lucky to have you as part of our DuVita family!
